I've indicated to you in the About Us page, that the website is an intentional advancement from mirror to mirror.  This page represents one of those mirrors that looks more deeply into a person.  It's about beginning to consider one's soulful nature.  On all the previous pages, I've covered the basics of existing garment alterations needs -- the special care towards bridal, leather and suede, restyling; I'm even ready to assist your Do-It-Yourself nature with video tutorials; and I would never overlook the needs of children and pets -- so now that I've covered these basics, I hope you'll decide to contemplate and explore the meditative (and therefore intensely prayerful)  intention of Dancing Fabrics and Healing Fabrics.  Soul Quilt examples below.

What is Dance to Heal? It's about creating picture quilts that illustrate your life and reveal your soulful nature.  Mysterious?  Yes!  Mystical?  Indeed!  Magical?  YOU are magical!  Find this out about yourself.  When you own a garment or other fabric possession long enough, it absorbs your essence; that means it takes on that which is you.  That means I experience you while I'm sewing and altering your garments long after you're gone.  My job is to spend time with you this way while literally and symbolically (plus meditatively) replacing loose threads with stitches of integrity.  That's my brand of healing.  That's my style of dancing.  I do this with your clothing and with creative fiber artistry.  Now you get a better idea that there is joy to be found in examining our soulful nature.  Your range of experience here at Alterations by Phyllis may be as simple as the joy of perfectly fitted clothing or as deep as meeting up with your soul!
