Whether you sew or not, you'll want to participate
in a design class to make an amazing wall hanging or bed quilt
out of denim jeans. You know what you like when you see
it, so why not plan and design your own creation and either sew
it up yourself or enlist a seamstress to complete! The design possibilities are
endless!
CREATE A RECYCLED DENIM JEANS QUILT
Introduction
Take those old jeans, and past clothing favorites (or regrets)
from your own or your children’s closets and sew them up into an
amazing wall hanging or bed quilt!
This introductory session will show how to preserve
memories through the fiber artistry available in your own
clothes closet and honor the earth by recycling at the same
time. The result is
a tangible keepsake quilt to hang on the wall or cover the bed.
This session will explore easy and nontraditional methods
for assembling materials, designing the story to be told, and
sewing the quilt together.
Several examples of fun and exciting ideas will be
available to inspire you.
Bring your own ideas and materials for the project with
you to this introductory session, although doing so is not a
requirement.
